Bali is a beautiful island paradise with stunning beaches, lush rainforests, and ancient temples. However, the tropical climate can be harsh on your skin, especially if you are not used to it. The sun is very strong, the humidity is high, and the air can be salty. All of these factors can contribute to dry, irritated, and damaged skin.

If you are planning a trip to Bali, there are a few things you can do to protect and pamper your skin. In this article, we will share some tips on how to keep your skin healthy in Bali.

Avoiding Excessive Sun Exposure Can Keep Your Skin Healthy

1. Wear Sunscreen

To protect your skin from the sun, wear sunscreen with a minimum SPF of 30. UV rays can penetrate through clouds and damage the skin, causing sunburns, premature aging, and increasing the risk of skin cancer. Apply sunscreen generously on all exposed areas like your face, neck, ears, and hands, and reapply every two hours, or more frequently if you’re sweating profusely or taking a dip in the pool. Remember to wear sunscreen every time you go outside in Bali!

2. Wear Protective Clothing

Don’t let sunburn ruin your summer fun! Instead, opt for protective clothing to shield your skin from the sun’s harmful rays. A wide-brimmed hat and UV-protected sunglasses are essentials for safeguarding your face, neck, and ears. Even if you’re wearing a bikini, a stylish sarong or cover-up is a wise choice when you’re out of the water. There are also a variety of sun-protective fashion choices that can help you stay stylish while staying safe. There are plenty of options that blend elegance with sun protection.

3. Cleanse Skin Regularly

With the humidity and sweating, your pores are more prone to clogging with dirt and oil. Establish a routine of cleansing your skin once in the morning and once at night using a gentle cleanser that complements your skin type. This will help keep your pores clear and your skin fresh.

4. Moisturise Your Skin

Moisturising is essential to replenish the moisture lost due to sweating and exposure to sun and sea. Apply a good quality moisturiser suitable for your skin type after cleansing and showering to keep your skin soft, hydrated, and healthy. It’s a good idea to moisturise your skin twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. After cleansing and showering, apply a generous amount of moisturiser to your face and body. Pay special attention to areas that are prone to dryness, such as your hands, feet, and elbows.

5. Exfoliate Regularly

Exfoliation aids in shedding the dead skin cells, promoting a brighter and smoother skin complexion. Incorporate a gentle exfoliation routine once or twice a week using a product that suits your skin type. This will also enhance the absorption of moisturisers and other skin care products.

6. Stay Hydrated

Bali’s hot and humid climate can make it tough to keep skin healthy in Bali. Losing fluids can lead to dehydration, making your skin look dull and tired. Drinking plenty of water throughout the day helps keep your skin moist. It’s better to avoid sugary drinks and alcohol, as they can dry out your body.
